Slippin Sliddin Fun

During a rare warm minute the kids talked me into setting up the slip-n-slide Kyle got for his birthday. They had so much fun.

Freezing water didn't stop Kyle from going face first.

Kamren is wondering what the heck he is doing?
Klaire needed the water off before she would walk carefully down the slide
Notice the change in wardrobe...I guess you can only wear a swimming suit for
so long before you have to change.

Kyle's 8th Birthday!

I can't believe Kyle is 8! It is amazing how fast time goes by. Since it's Kyle's 8th birthday I will name the top 8 things I love about him:

1. He is the best big brother!! Klaire adores him. He is so good with her, will do anything for her, can't get enough of her...well that's not true she can get to be a little too much sometimes, but he loves her so much!
2. He has the cutest smile! Not counting cheesy smile for the camera smiles, but a smile that can light up a room.
3. He is so easy going. All of his teachers just love him...and so do I...because he doesn't cause trouble...except with his brother, but that's what brothers do, right?
4. He is an amazing athlete! I can't help but be a proud mom watching him out on the baseball field. He is so athletic and coordinated for any kind of sport. I am amazed by the things he can do.
5. He is still my little boy! If I would let him he would still let me sit and hold and rock him.
6. He is so loving! I always get random hugs and kisses throughout the day. One day he is going to have a happy wife.
7. He is shy. I know from experience this isn't a great thing, but it is something I see in him that I know is from me. So we have that common bond.
8. He cares about how he looks. It cracks me up how much he cares that his clothes match and look good, and that his hair is done.
Of course there are many more things that I love about Kyle. He is such an important part of our family and we all love him so much!

Happy Birthday Kyle!!
We Love You!

12 Happy Years

Happy Anniversary Sweetie!!

How in the world does time go by so fast? I can remember so clearly our first date at Carousel Ice Cream in Provo. You were so funny! I never would have imagined that from what little I knew about you. I am so glad I finally agreed to be set up on a date with you. The thing I remember the most about that night is that you kept filling my cup so full with water that I would spill every time I picked it up. I don't know why that has always stayed with me...probably because I would have been mortified under any other circumstances to spill on a first date, but with you it was just part of the fun. I don't think I had ever laughed that hard in my life. Little did I know that night would change my life forever.

I am so lucky to have you in my life. You are a wonderful husband and an amazing father. You have made these last 12 years the happiest of my life. I Love You!

And FIRST place goes to...

Kalli had been practicing for the Hershey Track Meet forever. Well today was the day and she did AWESOME!!! She took First place over all 4Th grade classes in all of the Salem Elementary Schools and the Liberty Academy Charter School in the 200 and the 50 yard races. She was also entered to race in the 4/100 relay race but they ran out of time and had to cancel the race. I know that she loves to run and that she is fast...but I didn't know she is SO Fast.

The 200 was ridiculous! She smoked the other girls. She won by a full second, which is really fast, the picture doesn't do her justice

The 50 was closer but the race is over so quick that you can't really get that far ahead of the pack. Obviously she is the Winner!

Great Job Kalli. We are so Proud Of You!!!

before & after

Kyle has been growing out his hair for months and of course the day before Annette had her baby he decided he wanted to cut it. Since then all he had done is complain that his hair is driving him crazy. Lucky for him Annette is so nice she let him come out for a haircut yesterday.

These pictures are in fact the same person:

Crazy! Right? I don't even recognize him. His hair has been long for so long that we are still in shock. Hopefully he will get use to it fast, because right now he is regretting getting it cut. He would always come home from school and tell me that the girls thought he was sooo cute when he would flip his hair out of his eyes...I guess now he will have to draw them in with his unnaturally long eyelashes.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!! What a special day this is to celebrate the people we love most. I am so lucky to have the best mother and grandmother in the world. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't talk to or see my mom everyday, she is such an important part of my life!! LOVE YOU MOM!

I don't know what I can say about Grandma Ruth except that if you know Grandma Ruth you LOVE Grandma Ruth!! She is the best Grandma EVER, anyone that meets her adopts her as their Grandma. How blessed we all are to have her as part of our family!

I just have to share the card that Kalli made me. She is so creative and sweet. It reads:

I know that at the beginning of May
the time comes for it to be Mother's Day
Not the 4TH of July with fireworks
Not Halloween when creatures lurk
Not Easter time with the cute Easter Bunny
Not April 1st when jokes are funny
Not when your in High School and it's time for prom
It is time for your special day Mom!
Thank You to everyone that made Mother's Day so special for me!

Kurt's Birthday!!!

We have had a busy May and we are only 1 week into it. My nephew Drew turned 3 on the 1st, my sister Annette finally had her baby Shannon on the 3rd, and the 7Th was Kurt's big day. Needless to say I have had my fill of cake for a while. It is so hard to celebrate his birthday in a big way because he is so busy at work this time of year, so a small family party will have to do.

I just can't believe I am married to a 33 year old man...are we really that old?

Note the lack of pictures...he's not a big fan of them...so we make do with what we get.

Happy Birthday Kurt! We Love You!!!
