::Klaire's Birthday::

I can't believe my baby is 2! Time goes by so fast. It seems like just yesterday that we brought her home. I felt like a first time mom again because she was so much different than my other kids. I didn't know babies actually took naps and knew how to sleep at night. She was the best baby! Klaire was born around 1:00 in the afternoon after being induced at 11:00...2 hours of labor, can't beat that. Because I go that fast I didn't have any pain meds. She was 7lbs. 7 oz., 19 in. and so dang cute!!
For her special day I am going to list some of the thing I love most about my Klaire Bug.

  • She is a chatter box! She is always talking in her cute little voice...or should I say BIG voice! The only bad thing is she needs you to understand what she is saying and sometimes that is next to impossible.

  • She is so Silly and Sweet and Happy all at the same time! She has the cutest personality. She is constantly making us laugh which is great except for in the middle of sacrament meeting and she knows exactly what to do to get me and Kurt rolling!

Jumping off the couch...Crazy girl!

  • She Loves everyone! She came into this world surrounded by so many people that love her she doesn't know how to be anything else but loving.

  • She is so Outgoing. She loves to talk to people...she might stare you down for a minute, but that's all it takes and she will warm right up. And once your in you are always in...so you better learn her language quick!

  • She is very Smart! I am amazed everyday by things she says and does. Nothing gets past her...so don't even try!

  • Even after I tell everyone they have to wait to eat the cupcakes, she manages to get one for herself.

  • She is all Girl!! Her world is pink, princesses, shoes, dancing, singing, hair bows, bracelets and earrings. She is my girly girl and I love it!

Princess Slippers! Is there any other kind?

These are just a few of the things I love about Klaire, there are too many to mention. We are so lucky to have her as part of our family, it wouldn't be the same without her.

Happy Birthday Klaire! We love You!!!

BTW I worked my butt off on her cake. Each layer was baked separately. It took forever, but it was totally worth it...Yum! The kids seemed to like the cupcakes at the top better though...They don't know whats really good.

Mr. Gymnast

Gymnastics are over for the year for Kyle and he is so happy. He loves gymnastics after he gets there, but it is so hard for him to watch Kalli, Kamren and Klaire stay and play at grandmas while he has to go do such "hard work". I can't believe all the things he can do at such a young age. He is amazing on the rings and uneven bars, but his favorite and best are the vault and the trampoline/tumbling (which they of course didn't do today).

It is fun to watch him when he is paying attention and doing his best, but we are talking about a 7 year old here...so most of his time is spent goofing off with the other boys.
His coach Shane is great! He has pushed Kyle to become a really good gymnast. Kyle is sad that he won't be seeing Shane for a while. That was the first thing he asked when we got into the van is when he would be able to see Shane again.

It's been a great year. Way to go Kyle! We are so proud of you!!

Daddy Daughter Night

Kurt escorted Kalli to the Annual 4th Grade Dance Night. She has been learning dances for months preparing to dance with her dad.

They danced:

The Boot Scootin Boogie

Square Dances

Line Dances

And to finish the night off The Hokie Pokie

What an awesome dad Kalli has!!! And what a good sport to go not knowing any of the dances, but knowing he would have to dance them! They had a so much fun and spent quality time together!

Klaire's Birthday Pictures

This was our "Warm up shot" she didn't really like the photographer.

She was told to lay her head down for a close-up, but she couldn't do it without closing her eyes. So Cute!!!

Klaire did such a good job. . .but the fact that she is super cute doesn't hurt!!!!

What a Good Nights Sleep will do...

What is she doing in her bed at night? I guess it doesn't matter as long as she wakes up happy.
Okay we're off to the bath...hopefully we can tame this mess!!!

Worth Reading

"The most valuable time of the day for a family is the afternoon/evening shift. Be at the top of your game on swing shift. People are hungry, people are teachable. You feed them; that's when you serve them most. PLAN FOR SWING SHIFT, AND THEN WORK THE REST OF YOUR DAY AROUND THAT."

I came across this quote out there in blog land, it was said by Sis. Beck in the church news, and it really made me stop and think. I am not the happiest "Swing Shift" worker. I am more for the morning shift. So this is something I am going to challenge myself to work on...Planning my day around the Swing Shift!!
